Ok. No kidding. I am VERY worried. I have not lost a pound in one week. The needle on the scale is stuck. I am two and a half weeks post op and getting very depressed. I thought at first that it was water weight from my monthly "friend". but that is over now. I have been hungry, and trying to follow the diet. Maybe I am one of the few, rare, failures. Please let me know if any of you have been through this and started losing again. Lou Ann

Hi Lou Ann, I had the same trouble as you and others, the scale will move. It just started to move again this morning for me. I think I stayed the same weight for about a week. My surgery was the day before yours and I'm down 17lbs as of this morning. Take Care

Oh Hun... you are not a failure. It will move. I have been plataeued for a week and the scale finally moved 1 lb this morning! Keep your spirits high hun... this is only the begining of the journey and we have a long road ahead of us with plenty of plataeus. Get your fluids in, keep your protein high and take your vitamins. Once you can exercise you will be able to kick start the loss again! Take it week by week instead of day by day when it comes to the scale and the tape measure. Are you measuring your inches lost? HTH! Jamie

Lou Ann, The scales needs to be lol Let your clothes be your guide in how well you are losing. The scale is not going to move if enough liquids and proteins are not taking into the body. Getting on the scales daily can cause a person to go . So say to the scale and hello to baggy clothes. lol Best wishes and hang in there, you are not a failure. The scales are from the Tammie G. a new loser without the scales

Hi Lou Ann, This is my first time on this message board and I came here to see if anyone was as hopeless as I am right now. I truly thought I was alone. I had my surgery 2 weeks ago, was back to work in a week, am walking everyday, am sticking to the proteins, liquids and vitamins perfectly and since surgery I've only lost 5 pounds! I am angry, sad, frightened and really irritable. I gave up by best friend (food) and although my husband is the most supportive person in the world, I'm havng a hard time staying positive. So I know exactly what you're going through. I sure hope it gets better because I've lost way more than this in 2 weeks on a regular diet (with cheating)! But it's the long term benefit that I'm looking for. Everyone keeps saying be patient so that's what we need to do right now. I pray that we see bigger results soon to keep us more motivated! Best of luck. Valerie

I have a friend that was banded almost one year ago and she is down 90 lbs. She went 3 months without losing weight and then one month she lost 16 lbs. I guess the body is funny in how it reacts to changes. I was explained by the nurse in the office that when you first get the band, it is not tightened. They want to give your body the chance to get used to it before the filling. That is when they told me the weight would start falling off. we will see.
