I had my 1st post op doctor visit today, and all went well. I have been doing so very well, hardly any soreness now, but not enough to sleep on my tummy yet. Darn !!! I am walking daily, and eating 5-6 times per days and up to 64 oz of water daily. I am really doing amazingly well and I am so thankful for that. I have lost only 10 lbs as of today, but since I am on my monthly cycle, I have a feeling it's really more than that. I should know more next week. But a pound a day is great in my book!! What a GREAT positive outlook girl! Keep up the great outlook, it will so help when the cravings come! LOL! Be happy that you got your monthly now instead of during your surgery like me....that SUCKED! Especially being on the "folie cath" and having them keep giving me blood thinners! UGH! Jamie

Hi Sandra, We're "surgery sisters" and I'm doing great, too! I don't see the doc for my first post-op visit until Monday (2/7) but all seems to be going well. I went for my first "real" walk this afternoon, about 1/2 mile in the sunshine and it was OK. I'm feeling a bit sore after the walk but the weird thing is, I'm sore at the incision where they removed my gall bladder - not my RNY incisions. Strange??? I'm able to sleep on my side with no problmes. I ate my first bite of solid food this morning, 1oz. of soft scrambled egg with cheese. So far, so good - it seems to have settled OK. I'm still not hungry but figured I'd better start trying some real food before I see the doc on Monday. Keep up the good work and I'll post the results of my visit on Monday. Vickie J.
