Anyone else "feel" digestion?
Hi Jamie,
I am a sister "chugger" or "glugger"! That is how I like to drink - glug...glug...glug! I have always been a thirsty girl. Fellow gluggers know that you would choose drinking out of a thin plastic bottle over drinking out of a glass bottle because you can glug better since the plastic will collapse with the suction! Sadly, I, too, have realized that my glugging days are over! Right at first, it was easy to sip because that's all I really wanted to do. But I'm about 2 1/2 weeks out now, feeling really good, exercising more, and have already had two episodes of drinking too fast. It was like it all backed up into my esophagus and I felt like I was having a heart attack! It took about an hour to get over it! It's really easy to go too fast, especially if you're doing other things or if you're in a hurry. And I'm worried about what I'm going to do in the summer! And YOU, Ms. 3-litres-a-day!, yikes! I had to laugh when you described yourself over the sink. That's exactly what I did...clutching my chest and vowing to always pay attention when I drink from now on. Also, I feel food and liquid going down my left side. I don't feel it going all the way through, but from my pouch down the left side where they brought up that section of intestine to hook it in is where I can feel gurgling, sliding, and movement.
Happy day to you, Jamie! I love your posts.
LOL!
CHUG CHUG CHUG!!!!! (except it was water not beer...LOL!)
I have to stay up late some nights to get my water in. Do you have a walmart? They carry this HUGE mug with a lid (and straw but I do not use it) that holds your daily amount of water in it. It is such an easy way to make sure you get all of your liquids in b/c you can tell exactly how much you have left. The outside of the mug is decorated with little known water facts!
Jamie
PS- I HATE it when I upchug.... b/c then I don't feel like eating or drinking for the rest of the day
LOL! "Upchug!" That's funny! I had a giant "Diet Coke" mug from Wal-Mart, but it leaked around the lid. So now, my giant mug is a Shrek "Swamp Cooler" that I got at Home Depot of all places!! They had lime green and road-cone orange so I opted for the lime green. It doesn't hold quite the 64 oz., but I fill it up 1/2 way with ice and the rest of the way with water in the morning, and then refill at lunch or so. It really keeps things cold. It has a sippy-lid instead of a straw.
