OK, is it just me? Is there anyone else out there who can feel their food moving through? Their gas moving? It is the WEIRDEST thing!!! And at night when I am trying to sleep it is SOOOOO annoying! Not to mention the waking up in the middle of the night so thristy that all you want to do is CHUG water?! I have not really had too many problems post-op, but this feelings stuff I never felt before is really driving me nuts! LOL! Brightest Blessings for a Wonderful Day~ Jamie M. EEEWWWWWWWW!!!! Gross!!!! Actually, I can feel a little. If I eat and then drink anything within an hour afterward(or before), then I feel bubbles and hear the rumbling of the tummy train movin' on thru. " Yeeeaw! Move lil' dogies" Rawhide! But my digestion has always been noisy and fast. My husband says I have a goose gullet. A goose eats and immediately poops. Once, I had an upper GI done, and the tech asked me to swallow the stuff and then they were gonna film it going down. Well, I swallowed and the second tech(who was watching it on the screesn yelled to the first tech " Woh, it's going through her fast. Start the pictures, now." It turns out they missed it, and I had to do it again!! I WISH I could chug water, but I can't even drink it.

I used to be a BIG water chugger, getting in 3 liters a day and still being dehydrated! Now all I can do is sip and that drives me bonkers. Matter of fact, I got up in the middle of the night the other day and sipped too quickly to the point where I was almost chugging and BOY did I pay for that! LOL! I was over the sink, frothing, and sobbing... hubby came rushing in thinking that I had "sleep eated" again (something I used to do a lot pre-op) to find me crying over water! LOL! He felt so bad for me, all he did was rub my back and ask if there was anything he could do for me. He is such a nice guy. So if you can't drink water, how are you getting your fluids in girl? I have to drink a lot of flavored water and stuff these days since that nasty Ketoacidosis taste in my mouth makes water taste gross. Jamie

oh, girl - I am with you! It's so strange being able to feel the rumblin' and the grumblin'. I mean, I've had the grumbles before from stomach viruses, but not from every little thing I eat. It is enough to drive anyone I am one month out today and have started to get used to it. So far, it seems I am the only one that notices it. Hope it stays that way. Amanda

LOL! I am glad that I am not alone! The other night the rumbles that came from my gut took even my hubby by suprise (he is a paramedic). He was like "Woman, was that you?!" All I could do was laugh.... he ran and grabbed his stethascope and listened to the bubbles from me just sipping water and was amazed. Men are such children sometimes... anything entertains them! I am SOOOOO.... glad to hear that I am NOT the only one who has this internal fight with their stomache.....OMG....I thought there was something wrong with me last night and this morning. I just got home from the hospital Wednesday night, and it's all so new to me, Not sure what is normal or not??..Thin liquid's seem to be the worst....they RUMMBLE, GURGLE, and BUBBlE around inside!!! I was told to......Sip constantly.....but what does that mean.....if you sip constantlantly, you can take in ALOT of fluids in a short period of time. OK.....enough rambling on. Have a Blessed Day........Lanie

I'm late posting to this, but better later than never. I can so relate with everyone. The noises are so annoying. I can feel it from top to bottom going down. I push on my tummy and wonder how much did they rearrange in there to make it feel and sound this way, and is it going to feel this way forever. When its not getting stuck, I feel it plop down into my tummy; horrible feeling! I just spent the last week getting over a gas bubble/pain that had me utterly ill. I didn't want to eat because it made me miserable. They say don't take in any air, but how the hell do you do that! It's not like I'm sucking in air at every sip. I'm so glad week 2 is here it is much better than week 1. My farts are a whole other subject, I feel slightly faint having to sit there and smell it. OMG!! I am so looking forward to the healing part.
