I haven't been back here since I announced my surgery date! To update - I am doing great!!!! My surgery, though open, was a breeze - I was walking 2 kms on day 8 (and now I am walking 2-4 kms a day). I have a very thin line about 7 inches long that hasn't bothered me at all (except the first week) - I have been sleeping on my side for 2 weeks now - thank goodness! I am begining to enjoy food again - I have been having a LOT of tacos, calamari, cheese (every different type ever thought of!!), shepperds pie's (potato pies -mainly meat), roast beef, ham's etc etc. I still can't eat all that much (as I am sure you can all relate with) but I am eating more than that first week already. Yesterday I managed a whole taco (home-made) - yay!! LOL I have not had any kind of nausea or vomiting and I have only had one day of diarrhoea - didn't even stink that bad!!! LOL I have lost 35 pounds since the week before surgery, 23 pounds since surgery - I am pretty happy with this. Well, so far I have no regrets at all - I am soooooo happy I had this surgery, and I am looking forward to being 'normal' - except of course all the extra supplements!! I hope you all have as wonderful a recovery as I have had, Anne
