After surgery sexual appetite? Is this normal???!!!

Today I saw Dr. Reyes and weighed in for the first time since the surgery. 12 lbs. gone for good! Amazing! In one week!!!! That's two lbs. a day almost!! I feel great, got the staples out(didn't hurt, but now itches!!!) and got the go ahead to drive, sleep on my side, go hot tub, and " ahem"..... "resume normal marital relations". He,He,He. Valentine's Day is next month, so we are celebrating. Kids have an over night to grandma's house. Mommy and Daddy play. I have not felt well enough to indulge in months, but today I was LEERING at my husband in the shower. Anybody heard of this side effect, and especially so soon?

I think this is a normal feeling. I think it is because we are feeling better about ourselves and that will definately help our "feelings" towards our loved ones. I know that me and my husband have enjoyed "marital relations" several times in the last week since the doctor okayed it. So just relax, enjoy, and have some fun!!! And have ball during Valentine's, I know we have already reserved a room at the Hilton to celebrate!!

Wow Lou Ann... you are so lucky. I had open RNY so I still don't have the go ahead for that....LOL! I got my staples out today and the drain. They want my drain hole to close up some before I try any swimming, exercise or "marital relations." Jamie

Jamie, Although I had laproscopic RNY, I sure didn't feel like indulging in a little hanky panky the first 6 days. Then, all of the sudden.... Bam! Well, anyway...I have a itty bitty drain hole, too. But it didn't stop us tonight. The kids both fell asleep on the couch watching tv. Not wanting to waste a God given opportunity, I propositioned my hubby. No details, but I was a little nervous about when things got really heavy. No problem, I was having too much fun! I am a wee bit more limber now, hmmm. Didn't expect things to happen that fast. But nice. You can look forward to soooooooooo much! Lou Ann
