Lots of us new "losers"....

Wow, looking at our board about every other post is about being home from the hospital and almost all of us without any complications! That should be encouraging for all of the preops out there! My surgery was on Thursday and went very well (I was really worried because I was also getting a hiatal hernia repaired along with the gastric bypass) but my surgeon was able to do both laprascopically! I didn't have as much pain as I had anticipated either. I came home Saturday afternoon and was able to catch up on the sleep I DIDN'T get in the hospital. lol Take all and keep us posted! Tammy

Congratulations Tammy! Glad to hear you did so well with your surgery, considering you had the hiatal hernia repaired also. I had my surgery done on Dec 28th, 2005 and I have lost about 23 pounds. I don't know where you had your surgery but the list of foods they gave us at Carraway seemed great up until the 12th or 13th day. But believe me going into your 3rd week will be a benchmark. Just stay strong and the time will pass quickly. I would not have imagined that I would already be close to a month out. Stay strong and take care of yourself.

Tammy, glad everything went well. It is encouraging to at least this pre-op. My surgery is today 1/24, at 1 PM. Hope you continue to have a good recovery. Clara
