i think i feel swollen glands!!!

i think i feel swollen glands!!! my surgery is the 31st. i have my sedical clearence appointment tommorow!!!! if i am sick and they give me a 5day antibiotic will they still do surgery on the 31st??? im getting nervous!!!!!oh..i stated garggling with sal****er last night and drinking o.j.!! julie k

OMGoodness!!!!!!!! I had to do a double take when I saw this post! MY surgery date is Jan. 31st also and I woke up this morning with swollen glands!!! I am not going to worry about it at this point though. I am hoping it will go away! My pcp gave me the zpack last Friday with instructions NOT to take it because she was ALMOST 100% SURE that it is viral and the antibiotics would kill all the good bacteria in my intestines and I will need those to heal after surgery. I did call my surgeons office last week to ask if they would cancel my surgery if I was sick and she said yes, sometimes they do cancel if people are sick but she said to drink lots of fluids, take vitamin C and ABSOLUTELY NO STRESSING because that WILL make you sick! Pray for me and I'll pray for you! Please keep me posted. Irene
