Hi y'all, am 72 hours post op, feeling fine!!
Hey there
DO IT!!!Im home, walking around, only took 1/2 darvocet today!!!Easy to get around, minimal discomfort, and minimal G tube drainage. Ate 1/4 cup cottage cheese, tsb applesauce for potassium and darvocet pills helps them go down smooth. Am sick of all the crap on cable!! Want to get out of the house. Took 2 showers since I 've been home. Surgery was Monday Morning, went home Tuesday at 3 pm!!!. I would do it over again in heartbeat. DONT give up, I was cancelled 6 times due to bed unavailability. Write soon!!!

Hey Mary. I had my surgery on January 17th and everything went well - no complications. I had the Roux-en-y laparoscopy and was out the day after surgery around 3:00 p.m. Can still only have liquids, but I'm looking forward to the soft diet. Aren't mashed potatoes wonderful! Congrats on your successful surgery. Rebecca
Hey rebecca,

My doc has me on liquids now and my surgery isn't until 1/27/05. Did you do liquids before your surgery? I didn't know we would be able to eat mashed potatoes. Wowsa you didn't have to stay very long in hospital at all. They said 3 days, I don't want to come home early. I am looking forward to a break even if I will be in pain.
