its over!!! and Im home, 24 hours post op

Hi all! Im home after 24 hours post op, with lots of Gas-X pills for gas and Darvocet N for pain. It was hard to get up at midnite to go to the bathroom, but now Im up in living room, walking around and getting back rubs and burped like a baby from hubby. Even was able to sit at computer to type this message. Feeling OK. Not a lot of pain, just soreness around G tube site. Got folded hand towel when I get up for supporting surgical incision on tummy. Just ate some broth, and 2 ounces of yogurt without nausea or vomiting, bu t it took me almost an hour to do it. WIll write somemore tomorrow, Thanks for all your wishes and blessings. Mary T

WOW... 24 hours post op? Crap... my hospital kept me for 5 days! I am home for the first time since surgery too! Thankfully I have not had a lot of nausea but I did get liquid Roxicodone for pain and Bectra for inflammation. Good luck girl, I know being on the mend sucks... I am right there with you!
