I am pre -op scheduled 24th Jan

Hi all I can finally see the light @ the end of the tunnel.. I started this process back in june of 04 it has been a major headache but like the saying goes "Anything worth anything is worth Working for.." I am so ready {but scared} any and all prayers are being accepted at this time wooooooo hoooo

HI Jamie thanks for the encouraging words..... I love the "No matter what size, we are all Goddesses inside!" I will be praying for you on the 19th before that date and after that date.. I would love to talk with you more all my friends are toothpick thin so they dont understand what I am going through.. Are you on a pre-op diet..??

Sort of... I have been watching what I eat but our surgeon does not require any kind of weight loss pre-op. He feels that if you could do it on your own, you would not be having surgery. Although he does not discourage any weight loss either. He had me go high protein a few weeks ago and Monday I go on "liquids only" before the surgery. So I don't on the table...LOL! I am just hoping that I can get in to see my regular doc on Tues and get more ambien (I have insomnia) so I can sleep the night before my surgery. Otherwise the whole not eating after 10 pm thing is gonna kill me! Feel free to email or IM me anytime! BTW- I know what you mean about skinny friends. I have a skinny sister who just does not understand! Thankfully I have "big girls" for friends too so I do get support from them. However I feel that eventually some of them will come to feel differently about me once I start really loosing... I see it happening with another friend of mine who has lost lots due to Atkins. Hey Jess, we are twins my surgery is scheduled the 24th also at 10:30 am, I will keep you in my prayers though, there is always time for that..Good luck girlfriend!!!

Hello Jessan, Congratulations on your date. I'm the day after you. I was soooooooooooooooo scared too but this site has been a blessing for me. I went to the chat rooms and talked to others and they have helped me more than my family. I feel so much better now about the whole thing and I hope you can feel the same before its you day.
