Hi again everyone and congrats to all that have surgery date of Jan 25th . Here are some things that should help you with the vitamins and protein drinks that you will need. If you have any more questions or would like to keep in contact, please let me know by replying or by sending me an email To find most of the things below, do a google search with their names. Protein ready made shakes-EAS Advant Edge Rich Dark Chocolate (also found at Walmart around $5 for 4) -EAS Myoplex Lite-any chocolate Flavor (Chocolate Peanut Butter, Chocolate Mint, Rich Dark Chocolate etc) Protein Powders- Carbolite Chocolate or Vanilla(both are not that bad) There is also a tasteless/odorless protein powder that you can put on food ---website for that is unjury.com. You really can't taste or smell it. I was soooo surprised! As far as vitamins, the only chewable one that I seem to be able to stand is the Flinstones complete kid's multivitamin(also found at Walmart for around $6 for 30 day supply). Of course since it's a kid's vitamin you'd have to take 2 per day. If you're looking for a calcium citrate chewable I found that Twinlab Calcium Citrate Wafers(60ct) are actually not that bad. They seem to be somewhat hard to find. Here are some websites that I have seen them on : Shop.com Vitafly.com Vitacost.com Iherb.com As far as the B12, I'm afraid of needles so I opted to get the Sublingual B12 complex drops(They have to be sublingual since your body absorbs nutrients differently after the surgery). Websites I have found these on: wonderlabs.com intensivenutrition.com (Also found at Walmart or almost any drugstore) If you really don't like Chocolate and would like something more fruity, you can get Nectar brand protein mix(23g of protein per serving) which is actually surprisingly non-gritty and pretty great! They have many flavors; my favorite being the Fuzzy Navel. Websites: Planetarynutrition.com 1nutrition.com Bodybuilding.com I have also found some low cal/low carb drinks with no carbonation and no caffeine that are wonderful and you can find at almost any grocery store: Propel fitness water-any flavor is good I think(also has added vitamins) Minute Maid Light-Mango Tropical or Raspberry Passion Old Orchard Low carb fruit juice-any flavor tastes divine! Some things you do not want to try are: Slim Fast low carb meal replacements(too chalky...) Just about any Liquid protein fruit flavored anything(except Nectar) Most of the protein powders from the nutrition stores...ewwww I think that's about all that I have for now. I hope this is helpful to all. If you have something that you have tried that is really great or really NOT so great(hehe) please let me and everyone else know Stephanie
