Having surgery on ja. 11th. Climbing the wall in anticipation though now.

I am having surgery on tuesday january 11th and now all of a sudden i am climbing the walls. I am nervous about the being intubated in the hospital and the adjusting to life after it.

Jenna, I think its normal...I'm already starting to have the fears...and my surgery isnt for another week. The tube is nothing to worry about, they put it in after you're out and take it out before you're awake...you'll be fine!

Me I'm having freaky dreams Im half packed and I still have three weeks. I'm sooo glad that this is considered " normal" . I cant wait till this is over and all will be calm again. Take care, every thing will be ok . LIsa

BREATHE.... BREATHE.... What you are feeling is very normal. My surgery is the 21st and I am VERY excited and very nervous at the same time. The thing I am dreading is the Nasal Gastric tube. I have been spending a lot of time on the internet on OH posting positive, hopefully helpful posts for others.... It lifts my spirits and does not give me the chance to obsess about the surgery. Hi, first of all congrads on your surgery date. I know just how you are feeling I have been like that for the past few weeks and as my date grows closer I get a little more edgey. I am nine days and counting.... Jan.18th. Can't wait but very nervous. Just hang in there and I will pray that everything goes smoothly and that you have a speedy recovery. Take care and God Bless.

I am three months out I don't remember the tube at all .I will pray for you tonight that you will be fine and have a fast recovery I have not had any problems so far.My husband had the surgery also and no problems he is two months and a week out .Good Luck Tomorrow Toshi -60
