I felt like this when I graduated from high school, interviewed for my first job, got married, and I could name a lot more "firsts" in my life. I'm not nervous about the surgery at all. I know I will be in good hands...it's the journey into the unknown that scares me. A brand new lifestyle, and my greatest fear---failure! I truly believe I will succeed. I am determined and committed to this venture. I am worth this! I will be healthy...I will follow all of the doctor's instructions...ect. ect.(these affirmations really do help ) I'm excited for everyone having wls this month. A new year and all these new lives! Happy birthday January Losers! I wish you all the best. God bless, Charlene

Way to go... I know you are excited.. I can hardly wait until my surgery at the end of the month. You deserve to feel "giddy". You will do great. Keep the enthusiasm! Bj in Iowa

I am right there with you I can hardly mine is Jan 25th. I do have some fears about the surgery but I know it is the right thing. I also have fears about long term sucess. As someone who has lost and regained 100lbs over the last 10 years I really hope this is the last tool I will need and that i can find a way to maintain a healthy wait and attitude. You are right affirmatiobns do work. I am making a self hypnosis tape to help me with the fear of the surgery. Hope it helps. Regards, Carolyn
