Sister having surgery this AM!

My sister Nancy is having her RNY this morning at Methodist Hospital in the Minneapolis area. Mine is scheduled for Friday, the 7th of January. We are both diabetic and our doctors have told us that we both need to lose our excess weight to stop the problems we are both experiencing. I am so happy she will soon be on the "losing side" soon! She has promised to put on makeup and be all perky when I go to visit her in the hospital - lol!! Thanks to Ruth for her message - hope you get a date soon, too. Kristi

Congrats to you both! My sisiter and I are going to be 10 months apart. We share and support each other and I know how important that is going to be for the both of you. My operation is scheduled for January 3 and my sister's was in March, 04. She looks great and I can't wait. She is a great source of information. You keep in touch and let me know how your sister's surgery went. May God keep you both.

That is wonderful. I pray that she will do well. I also have diabetes and hopefully this surgery will be the way to a new lifestyle. I wish her and you too lots of luck.
