Being your own worst enemy!
I am having my surgery on January 10th 2005. I have been reading over different posts and going into the chat room. The one thing I have noticed more then anything is that people are your own worst enemy.
I love this website as it has great people and has helped me realise that i am 150% sure that this is the best way forward for me personnally. It has also opened up my eyes. Why do this major operation if your going to defeat yourself!
Today I was in the chat room and someone said my boyfriend gave me a bag a cheetos for christmas and they are my downfall. I am sorry to say the cheetos are not your downfall. The cheetos can not put themselves in your mouth. We all have come to a point to have WLS to help ourselves get out of these bad habbits and we all have to learn from our past mistakes. I for one know that its not that easy but we all have to remember that we have to start helping ourselves to make this WLS work for us.
I say throw those cheetos away and say thanks for the gift but its not helping and supporting me for what i want for me.. That is being healthy and happy and have a long life!
Anyways that is my two cents..... Happy Holidays and all the best!
Thanks for a wonderful website
Rachel
Hello Rachel and a Happy Holiday to you. You are so right. The WLS is a tool to help us on the road to a healthier and happy life. The boyfriend sounds jealous and mean to give her a bag of cheetos for Christmas.
And she the fool ate them. I also have a friend who had the surgery and looks beautiful. She told me there is a woman on the PTA with her that had this done two years ago, and is now heavy again. Its a shame to go through all of this and then throw it away for food. I for one am looking forward to walking into OLd Navy and buying my first pair of jeans in a smaller size!!!! Anyway, good luck to you on the road to health. I wish you all the best in the coming year. My surgery date is scheduled for January 5th. I can hardly wait.
