Rhonda, Congratulations on your surgery date! My surgeon also requires that I be on a liquid diet (Optifast or Kicstart a yummier version!) for 2 weeks prior to my surgery -- but I asked him if I could 'have time off' on Xmas day and he has 'allowed' me one meal off. You might want to ask your surgeon if you too can have Xmas dinner 'off'. Best of luck with your surgery Anne B
