Tears of Joy!!!!!

Today I am 8 days until preop and 18 days until surgery, so I decided to call BCBS to see if my paperwork had been received in their office. CS rep stated that the paperwork had been received and it was stilling being reviewed. CS rep asked me to call in about 1 week. When I arrived home from work today, DH had placed a letter on the sofa from BCBS. I immediately opened the letter and begin to CRY, because the letter stated that I was APPROVED on 12/9/04. I had to wipe my eyes so I could read the letter again. DH and family members are very supportive and happy for me. This has been an 5 month journey that I have walked the long road to get here. So now the days are passing by very fast. Surgery date is 1/3/05. Best wish to everyone Tammie G.

Hi, My name is Junith. I was reading your post and I have a question. By the way my date is 01/05/04. Your statement "Today I am 8 days until preop and 18 days until surgery," What does that mean? I am guessing that preop means before the operation. Is there somthing that you will be doing, or going through for the ten days before surgery? Just wondering. I have been unsure if I am supposed to be on a special eating plan before my surgery date, etc. Thank you for your time and congratulations on your date. Junith
