Januarians!!!
Hi Fellow Januarians - new word that I just made up - do you like it????
I am excited and scared to death - it has all happened so fast! I found my surgeon early October, met him late October, and now have a surgery date of 5th of January 2005! I could have had it earlier if I was willing to mess up my children's Xmas this year!!
By the way, I just want to say that as an Australian, I find the American way of writing dates really confusing. I am constantly 'converting' dates and often get them wrong - silly I know - but I sometimes forget to 'convert' and then it doesn't make sense eg 11/30/04 - the American way, right? I read this as the 11th day of the 30th month in 2004 -see it doesn't make any sense! We do dd/mm/yy, so I will have surgery on the 5.01.04.
Congratulations to all of you who also have your surgery dates - I have a feeling that January 2005 will be a great month for us all and that the year 2005 is going to be the best year in a very long time for many!!!

Hello all!!!! I just saw my surgeon today and am done with all the testing.
I also have a date in January. January 5th 2005. I am sooooo very excited about this. Just think everyone, this will be "THE FIRST DAYS OF THE REST OF OUR LIVES!!!!". By the end of 2005, we will all be DIVAS!
I cannot wait to walk into OLD Navy for my very first pair of jeans from there. I have never been in that store yet. This is so very exciting.
Good luck to each and eveyone of you all out there.
God Bless and I wish everyone well.
I too consulted with my doctor in October, and decided to have the surgery. I have a January 6, 2005 date! I could have had it earlier also. December 23rd was available - but who wants to be 35 miles away from home and in the hospital for xmas?? Also, my surgeon is going out of town the week between xmas & new years . . and well . . .I'd be more comfortable know that he was close right after I had the surgery!
Good luck to you - and everyone else !!
