side effects a year and a half later!!!!!

Yes...2 months after surgery, i lost so much weight, my posture changed, and I experienced sharp pain. I was diagnosed with the same disk problem and tried a couple of treatments of epidural injections...AWFUL!!! I thought I was going to pass out. My back still hurts, but not as bad as it once did...the weight loss helped ease the muscle pain too. I hope your steroid treatments are better than the ones I had.
