Okay having trouble getting protien in, The smell of these drinks are making me sick. Even the notorious Nectar, there is a smell and I can't get past it. I have tried plugging the nose and I still smell it after I drink it... I love the Carnation instant breakfast but I drink them and I feel full for so long afterwards... any help is appriectiated....

Have you tried Carb Countdown Lowfat Yogurt Smoothies, they have 13 grams of protein per 10 ounces. There are several different flavors, I personally am addicted to strawberry banana. They also have 30% of the daily recommended dose of Calcium that we need. Only 1 gram of sugar and 3 net carbs. Also, GNC has the Ready to Drink bottles of Cherry Berry flavor of Whey Protein from Pro Performance with 40 grams of protein per 20 ounces. It is awesome and taste like slightly thick kool-aid. There are several flavors to choose from in this as well. Good luck!! Barbara

Hi Blondi Talk to your doctor about the diuretics. Since you are retaining water, you may need to be on diuretics to keep your blood pressure in check. I do get my vits in most days. I seem to forget more often on the weekend when I am (thankfully) off my work/home routine. I take a calcium citrate supplement as my doctor told me specifically not to take Viactiv chews as they are calcium carbonate. I hate the pills that I take and therefore do not get enough calcium in me. My weight has stabilized. I keep bouncing two pounds one way or the other. I finally stopped throwing up in November. I am below goal, but undoubtedly because I could not keep food down for ten months. I do not recommend this as the way to lose weight. I've found that I can eat a lot more these days and unfortunately, I don't dump on sugar. However, I still dump on fat. Go figure. I am not getting enough water in and I am really downing the coffee. Can you say W I R E D!!!!! Well, that's where I am at. It is great hearing from you. You look wonderful in your picture! Dianne

Been there, done that--I have to make my own protein drinks from SF yogurt, unflavored protein powder, & bananas. Can't stand the other stuff.

hi girl i was thinking about u earlier today but i have been so busy i didn't call i just went back to work, but i have not forgot u i hope u feel better i have the same problem with my protein drinks too,but i got the regular gnc srawberry and i use the hood milk and it tastes like a strawberry shake try it and let me know how u are doing,see ya,get some and try again tommorrow it gets better

I am starting to feel like CRAP... I know it is because I am not getting enough protien... I do the Carnation Instant Breakfast, then I feel full for too long... I hope I am not trying to advance to quickly but I did some pureed tuna with Low fat Mayo and it has 24G of protient for a 6 oz can... 12G per serving and there is 2 servings per can but I can't eat the whole can in one day... My energy level is in the toliet... Thanks for the support.
