Topic: RE: caloreis and carbs?
I don't count carbs, but I try to keep calories between 1000-1400, depending on how hungry I am. I weigh every day, but only record my weight once a week. Looking at that graph every week really helps keep me on track. I have maintained my weight loss of 150 lbs for almost 2 years. I do have weeks when I have to re-focus on protein (and water), but I think that is the trick.
I wish all of us a wonderful 3-year anniversary in January.

It's crazy, all of us are in the same boat. I was 252 then my lowest was 135 not I'm
at 149. I can't stop eating cookies and snacks. It's not the food it's the snacks, my
body doesn't want to be thin... We need to get a crip and stop the maddness...
Take Care, Melissa
Topic: RE: Help!!!!
Hello, I read your e-mail and I agree w/ you 100%.
I started at 252 got down to 135 not at 147. I can't stop eating junk food, cookies is
my down fall. I don't understand what the problem is. I was in a size 2 now a 6, I don't
think my body wants me to be thin?? I started back to the gym for the winter, I hope that will help get rid of the 10 extra pounds.
Take care and congrats on the new man...

My problem is I never could keep a food diary and have no idea... and now at almost 3 years out.. my weight is creeping back up.. only a few lbs at a time..but the trend is up and not down. That is why I'm back at this website.. I need help and I have to take control now or I will be forever sorry and be doomed to be telling the tale of how my surgery failed me.. knowing for sure in my mind that it was me that failed. Hope that is not too direct.. but that is the way I feel. Thanks, jan

I haven't been here in ages... and let's see where to start...
Thanks for the encouragement. I needed to hear that too. In the last few months it seems my weight is creeping up ... only a little but still enough to be scary. That is what brought me back here.. I only thought I was like everyone else. This has changed my life.. hopefully forever. I preached to everyone about basics.. and now it is time for me to take my own advice. I'll visit more often and try to remember the basics. I still drink constantly (yea, mostly water ) and concentrate on protein.. but have added bread a little too often and potatoes.. always my downfall. I DO remember the basics.. we'll keep trying to honor those and see if we can hang in there together and hold that bad boy down!!! Jan
Topic: RE: Food choice?
I am afraid to to ask, What in the world is blood pudding? I like chicen necks and chicken backs. The only pork I really eat is pork chops maybe once a year and ribs
I eat lots of meat for protein, lots of cheese, mushrooms, tomatoe soup with milk and cheese, pop corn, salads, coffee, coffee, coffee. I just started powdered protein. I checked this post out so that I could see what people are eatting. My band was loosed for about 6 mos. due to complications and so I resently got it filled. I have a lot of weight to lose so even though I was banded in 2004 I am starting over in 2006.
with Gods love and banding success/Coke

You may be able to get the insurance to pay for the hernia repair and have your PS do the tummy tuck for cash payment. I have been told that sometimes they will do it this way.
Wishing you the best
