Hi Julie. I am going to have a revision done tomorrow as well. I have been very apprehensive about it too. I know how much pain I am going to be in but I also know it is worth the pain. I know that God will be with us both. You are doing a good thing for yourself. I lost 80 pounds the first time and I can't tell you how much better I feel today because of it. I had the RNY and am being revised to a DS tomorrow. I know that revisions are riskier but I am willing to take the chance. I have been fretting for the past week about it. Then I looked up on my wall. I had bought a new devotional calendar for 2005 so I looked at the quote for tomorrow and it reads: "Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." Phill 1:6 It made me feel better and it feels like God is talking to us through it. I send you my best. I pray for your swift recovery and rapid weight loss!! Pam Dunlap

180 pounds!?!? WOW! That is amazing! I've lost 101 pounds & I've had to work for every pound - I can't imagine losing that much in a year! I know that I am having skin issues - wow - that is just amazing... I too, have experienced so much in the last year that I wouldn't have had without wls. Good luck on your continued journey! God Bless Barbie 281/180/160ish

Topic: Staying on track for 2005..
Hey gang! I have a HUGE praise for myself. This was my first year that I did not have "lose weight" as one of my new year's resolutions! I'd be curious to find out how many of you are similar. I'll bet a whole lot! I also need a few pointers about getting back on track after the holidays. Really not pointers, but to see if anyone else allowed themselves to enjoy the holidays without sticking to the more stringent rules. If so - how do you plan to get back on track? I enjoyed the holidays by endulging in small treats (still get sick over 12 grams of sugar per sitting) and definitely more carbs than usual. I am in a weird place, because I still am not employed - therefore I am living with people for the moment. So I do not have the money to go to the gym (I was able to put my membership on hold, thankfully). I'm not a walker - but guess I will have to be, huh? Anyway - each of you should feel so very proud of yourselves regardless of your weight loss numbers. Enjoy your one-year anniversaries this month! I plan on having a cook-out on that day to celebrate. I also have a pair of old jeans that I will wear over my old clothes (with a belt of course!) to show the gang how much I really lost! What are your plans to celebrate your victory? I'd be interested in hearing... God Bless! Barbie 281/180/160ish

... I was reborn, thanks to WLS. My life isn't perfect -- and it's taken and will continue to take a lot of work -- but it is SO much better than it was a year ago. In the last 12 months, I have lost 180 pounds, begun exercising and loving to be active, reclaimed my confidence at work and in my personal life, and fallen in love with a most amazing man. My family and friends have been incredibly supportive, and I was fortunate to have a first-rate medical team that continues to keep me healthy and complication-free. I have been so very, very blessed. Happy New Year and Happy New You to all my fellow WLS travelers. I hope you can all know this feeling somewhere along the road.
