Linda, I know exactly how you are feeling! I am so down, because I thought for sure I would get closer to my goal by now. I am working so hard, but it is not coming off anymore. I at least wanted to be under 200 pounds. I still consider it a success, but I wanted to be closer to goal. I will just keep trying! Good luck!

Topic: Experience with Kaiser?
Hi all,
There's a possibility my insurance carrier may be changing in the near future, from BCBS CareFirst to Kaiser Permanente. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share with me how their experiences with Kaiser have been, related to your surgery (especially if you've had your reconstructive surgery!).
This change would be happening due to a job change, and yes, I'm factoring it in to my decision about whether or not to accept/reject any offers which may come my way. I sure as heck don't want to shoot myself in the foot here...
I haven't had my one-year checkup yet (that's due later this month), but my primary care doc told me last month not to even think about plastic surgery for at least another year and a half. Is that true???
Cheers,
Kathie

Topic: Just a little rant ....
I have to admit that I am fighting a bit of depression. I am no where near where I wanted to be by this time. On the other hand, I have lost so much weight this past year, it is almost a miracle. While I know that weightloss is an individual journey and we all started at different places, it is hard not to compare my results to others who have reached or are within reach of their goal weight. I saw the nutritionist today and everything looks great as far as bloods are concerned, but even she agreed that I may not reach my goal. OK ... end of rant. Now I just need to get my butt in gear and ratchet up my efforts.
Thanks for listening.
