Topic: Feelin very down in the dumps...
I am feeling down. I went for my consult on my tummy tuck and dr said that i have to loose 30 more pounds. I have been at stand still with weight lose for 6 months. He said to come back in 6 months. Soo, today i joined a water aroebics(spelled wrong). I am going to lose this weight if it kills me. The sad thing is, is that i am very content as i am right now. I just want the tummy tuck done. Then the Dr. said that even then that he may not be able to do the tuck because of a gall bladder scar. I am soooo depressed. Sorry to unload on ya all, Love and prayers, Christina 309/197

I am glad everything went ok for you. Just think of the new cloths and things you will be able to wear through the summer. I will keepo you in my prayers. i seem to bounce back and forth between 141 to 146 so i have a 5 lb window i play with and i freak when i go over them. but i eat high protein foods and i try and eat every 3 hours to maintain or bounce. sample menu for me is breakfast protein shake @ 4:30 am snack cheese stick @ first break 7 am snack protein shake at 9 am lunch cottage cheese 4 oz. @ 11:30 am snack 1:30 i usually eat a pack of peanuts supper 5 pm what ever the family is eating that i can tolerate snack before bed i eat a 4 oz cup of carb control yogurt. good luck to you jeannie

Robin I have lost another pound, I'm now weighting 134 pounds and it does scare me because I'm going to see my surgeon and nutritionist next week, we'll see what they say but I'm sure it will be just like your surgeon ordered you. Celi

well i had boob lift and tummy tuck done on wedensday ! Hurts alot cant wait until drains are out think might be better when they come out

I agree! Protein shakes are a fact of life for the majority of us. I bu all of my protein from bariatriceating.com. Susan and her company are fabulous. She and many of her people are patients just like us and know what we are feeling. All of her products are taste tested and the protein products are unbelieveable. You order tham and they come to your door. As for the protein taking up your meals, use the protein as a between meal snack instead of food. I also am on the low side of the alnumin norms and have to do 3 shakes a day. Adequate protein also means the difference of your hair and skin being healthy, it also helps move the weight off, you aren't dreaming. Congratulations on your great success to this point. You should try writing down everything you eat and count the calories. You might be surprised that you are actually getting extra calories. Also sometimes you need to increase the calories to get moving again. As for exercise remember muscle weighs more than fat and if your measurements are goinging down that is a goos sign. I know it is frustrating but think of the success you already have acheived and then move forward. Positive thoughts, Robin 308/137

I am in the same boat 5'6" 136 lbs. I am under strict orders to gain at least 4 pounds. The way to do this is to eat more. You need to write down everything you eat daily and count the calories. I consume 3 proten shakes a day with 1% milk, eat something every 2 hours, and work on getting 1500-1800 calories per day. You need to eat higher calorie, denser foods. It is not easy to gain, I am having trouble. I am in contact with my dietician on a regular basis. I also am not to exercise per my surgeon, for now. Maintaining is difficult to understand because most people it seems don't become under weight if you will. Good Luck to each of you. Remember to eat healthy but increase your calories and you will maintain. Robin

I had a boob reduction in October. Cake walk. On June first I have my consult on the tummy tuck. I am a little nervious about the pain too. Good luck and please keep us posted. I will keep you in my prayers. Christina

well i am doing it i am having a tummy tuck and boob lift on wedsnday ! if any one else has done this please email me i am getting kinda scared now that it is geting closer they say lots of pain from tummmy tuck they say want notice on boobs as much cause of tummy!
