Topic: RE: Calories/Protein/Carbs?Excercise??
I'm afraid I'm not a counter. I don't count anything. I just eat. I do try to eat my proteins first and that's about it. I've had my share of plateaus and they move with a little patience. Best wishes to you.
Topic: RE: WHOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO
That is AWESOME news Nancy. Way to go!!! I'm stuck at a plateau now, which I hate, but the scale will move soon I hope. I am waiting for that elusive 199!!! MUCH continued success on your journey!!
Topic: RE: Getting real tired of feeling like this...
Sometimes I feel ill after I eat and sometimes I don't. Just depends. I think sometimes I still eat way too fast or don't chew enough. I have gotten sick only a few times since surgery but I sure don't like it. My pouch feels like it is turned inside out for a few days if I get sick. Luckily, no problems with strictures. I would definitely do it over again. You are right Jan, nothing tastes as good as being thinner.
I hope that everyone that is having problems will be feeling better VERY soon so you can enjoy your journey to the losing side. Best wishes to all.

Topic: RE: I FINALLY HIT 50!!!!
I also hit 50 when i went for my 3 month checkup. i had surgery the day after you and i didn't have the bypass i had the gastric sleeve so i think i am doing great considering that i didn't have the whole bypass done. I go to Curves 3 days a week and tried on a size 22 last week and it fit so i am happy i was wearing a size 26 to 28 before surgery.

Topic: RE: Calories/Protein/Carbs?Excercise??
I know how to get over ur plateau, I did it myself, at 3mnts I had a 2 wk plateau that almost made me cry. U need to change ur routine for working out,ur body starts to remember its dailey routine, so when I was doing 30 minutes of cardio on the tread mill I changed it to. 10 min cardio. then 10minutes lifting and back and forth back and forth or I would change from bike to tread back and forth..U have to mix it up for about a week to jump start ur metabolism again, U might want to try a little more calories too. This is all advise from my trainer. It really helped..good luck u will do it

Topic: RE: Goals!
Kristal,
I am going to Arlington! I am so very excited about it too.
As far as goals went, the only one I set for myself was to get off insulin. I accomplished that goal, so my next goal is to get off the Avandia. As far as the weight goals, I didn't set any for myself. I want to rid myself of diabetes first. Is it wrong not to have a weight goal? I didn't want to doom myself by having too many goals all at once. My weight is coming off really slow but I only have 3 lbs to go to be under 200 and that really makes me happy.
Good luck to you and I will look for you in Arlington.

Topic: Goals!
Hi everyone,
First thank you to all who sent me some enocuragement last week when I really needed it. I was a little bummed out that I did not make my goal for April. I missed it by 9 pounds. Oh well. I have lost 91 pounds to date and can not wait to join the century club. I really hope to be in by the convention in Arlington.
By the way, who from this board is going to the convention? I would love to meet some of you so let me know, and maybe we could meet up!
Best to all,
Kristal V.
