Topic: DELISH Salmon recipe
Hey all! I just found this AWESOME salmon recipe and want to pass it on! I would eat salmon all three meals a day if it could taste this way all the time! Try it and let me know what you think. Hey - while your at it - add your own great recipe to the mix! Parmesan Crusted Salmon 1/2 teas. seasoned salt (like lawry's) 1 tablespoon flour mixing bag 1 1/2 lbs salmon filets (ask for skin to be removed) 2 tablespoons light mayo (split) 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese (split) (use fresh cheese for best flavor) Dill weed (to garnish/flavor) Black pepper (to garnish/flavor) 1. Combine salt and flour in mixing bag. Cut salmon into portion-sized pieces, place in bag and shake to coat. 2. Preheat large saute skillet on medium 2-3 minutes with 2 tablespoons olive oil. Place fish on cutting board; use 1 portion mayo to coat over fish. Sprinkle cheese over mayo and press lightly to make stick. Sprinke pepper and dill weed to taste/garnish. 3. Place fish in pan, cheese side down. Repeat mayo & cheese coating. 4. Cover and cook for 5-6 minutes each side (145 degrees & flakes easily) Calories (per 1/4 recipe) 398; fat 25g (most from fish - omega-3 good fatty oils); chol 118mg; sodium 525mg; carb 2g; protein 40g; I paired with a tossed salad with pears, grape tomatoes, dried cranberries and walnuts. GREAT texture, flavor and taste! Enjoy! Barbie 281/227/150ish

Lori, Looks like you are doing a great job with your weight loss. If you could cut your carbs down to 10-20 gms per day and up your water, you might get past your slowdown. I've recently cut my carbs down to 10 gm/day and am losing weight faster than ever. It's been very motivating.

WoooHooo! Life is GRAND! I hit 199.5 this morning, down from 281.5. A Banner Day! I eat 3x a day and am tolerating food very well. I have follwed the pouch rules religiously. Every day I wake up thankful for the gift of this surgery. We are all so lucky to have this chance to get back our health and our lives. Best wishes to all on their journey!

scales are evil they want you to be the slave to them. Toss it is my recommendation.... Oh if only i could follow my own advice, lol, try increasing your protein change your exercise routine and up your water. And try and stay off the scale for about 5 days. jeannie

Me too, Me too I've lost 60 lbs, my anniversary date is the 22nd, I feel great! I have tried eating everything, and refined sugar just in the last week. It' didn't do anything to me! But I too am focusing on more fruits and veggies, they taste better than they used to. And now I can eat eggs finally, to where before they tasted horrible. I love Splenda, I can't tell the difference! I have eaten pasta, and last night I had my first glass of wine, other than hitting my quickly I didn't have a thing happen (I even had a second glass). But it does effect you quickly though! I have learned that when I crave something, I eat it, and it goes away. I guess I'm saying that my body is finally working with me instead of against me. So when it asks for something I give it, in moderation of course! And when I hit a plateau, I stir it up but eating out of the ordinary stuff, and it works. The only thing I haven't tried is carbination, has anyone tried it yet? I do drink coffee, just a cup every couple of days or so with coffeemate creamers in it, they don't bother me. We are doing sooooo great aren't we? Did you ever think it would be so good? me either!

I'm munching on the same kind of things, but I keep hearing the "NO SNACKS" screaming in my head. I feel like I'm doing something wrong. It is reassuring to hear someone else talk about it. Susan
