Nancy,
You are doing such a great job. I so look forward to your responses here and on our MN board. You're so supportive of everyone. You will see that 199 soon. It is great to actually get to a goal now. Before I would always set a goal, but it was never reached. You went through a lot the first three months. I'm so thankful that all is well with you now. I also want to tell you that I hope the rest of your journey goes very smoothly. Keep up doing whatever it is your doing because it's working for you and you look wonderful. Your newest picture is lovely. Blessings to you hon.

Topic: RE: How's everyone doing?
Hi everyone. It's great to see everyone is doing so well. I had my surgery on Jan. 5th. As of today I am down 83 lbs. My weight hasn't changed for about three weeks. Probably because some days I eat more then I should. I go to curves 4 times a week and swim at least 4 mornings a week. I need to get walking a bit more. How am I doing? Most days I'm HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY. This was the best thing I've ever done for myself. Connie

I eat when I am hungry and try to do protein first.I drink calcium, take my vitamins, and I work out almost everyday at least once sometimes twice. You are doing good-diabetes can slow down progress I heard as your body is confused right now,but just keep chugging along, slow n steady wins the race!Keep the carbs to a minumum, take fiber supplements ,and track your steps with a pedometer, take stairs instead of elevator, try to squeeze walking in every little bit helps.

Nancy,
I recently slipped under 200 and it was the greatest feeling. I guess my body likes this weight cause I have been at 199 for two weeks now. You are doing so great. Don't you feel wonderful? I luckily haven't had any complications and I thank God for that. This surgery has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. I have made some wonderful friends through this web-site and the OH people are so amazing. God Bless you all!

Hey Gloria,
What success you have had! How did you do it? I started at the same weight you did and had surgery 15 days later. What were or are your daily habits? Maybe you are doing something I am not. I have lost 48 pounds. My body sure is trying to hold on to everything. I am still battling diabetes. I am totally off insulin and have decreased my oral meds but just can't seem to get rid of it completely. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Keep up the good work!
Leanne

Topic: RE: hair loss
Had my WLS 1-5-04 and my hair started falling out about a month ago, I started using VitaTress shampoo with Biotin and it seems to help. The girl who cuts my hair recommended it, I bought it at Famous Hair. I lost a good bit of hair last year when I had another surgery and I believe that alot of my hair loss is from the anaesthesia(sp). But I have alot of hair anyway. I have been getting protein in everyday. When I was on Physcians Weight Loss 14 years ago, I lost 165 lb in 9 months and alot of hair with it, it grew back. If my hair continues to fall out, I'll buy a wig if it gets really bad. I didn't realize how much hair I was losing until I noticed how much was falling onto the tank of my tiolet!! I thought it was my husbands hair until I relized the length of it was mine!! I was shocked, but realized it goes with the weight loss, and I will take weight loss anyday!!!
Good luck and great weight losses.
