I am in that same "rut"...Getting back to basics has been my solution. I also had not been getting on the scales and that got me in trouble. If I check my weight twice a week, I can head it off if I go up a lb or 2. Walking is my best excercise. Keep faith in your self!

Brenda just as everyone else says, get back to the basics. Keep a journal to help you see what you are eating. Write down the food, how much and calories. Measure everything. Get away from the carbs and back to 70% protein in your diet. Also if you have added back alcohol get rid of it. Alcohol is empty calories and diet soda actually makes you hungry. Drink your water. Do you support group, if not start it will halp keep you on track. And last exercise daily. Also weight yourself so you can keep tabs on yourself.
Good luck,
Robin

Catherine-
You look great and must feel the same! I just can't believe it. My life is sooo different and much better. I'm much healthier and happier. Alicia is great with the new me! I'm even smaller than her, who would of ever thought!
I'm down to 123lbs and my BMI is 22. I actually had Dr. Hill and my primary doc tell me to gain weight. I had gotten to 120. Gain, weight, I never would have thought in a million yrs. that my doctor would tell me that.
I'm feeling better, but am still having some issues. I'm totally uncomfortable with my saggy skin in my tummy area. My arms and legs don't bother me too much. I was really hoping that Dr. Hill was going to do the tt when I had my hernia's repaired, but he didn't! I was very disappointed, but oh well, what is a girl to do. I wish I could afford to have it done. I now have a new insurance plan and don't know if it would be covered.
Have you been going to the meetings? I haven't been to one since March or April, I don't think I went in May, can't remember.
Glad to hear Brett is doing so good. Tell him hello for me.
Take care & talk soon!

Kim, you WOMAN! Road races? Can you believe it? Life is great! Congratulations. What is it with these surgeries? Are these pre-existing issues? They must really break your rhythm. I hope you are feeling much better and won't have any more reasons to visit the Doc. How is your daughter taking all of this change in her mother? Randomly my children will come across a pre-surg picture of me and comment how different I am, but basically if momma is happy, everyone is happy. Chris is VERY happy. He says I'm very bendy.
Haven't weighed myself in months, but I'm guessing I'm around 145, which is a BMI of 20. Buying mediums and have lots of tummy apron which I'm beginning to formulate a plastics plan to get rid of. Started this whole ride at 320lbs. Big difference. Remember my friend Brett? Dr. Hill performed his surgery in May and he has already lost 90lbs. He's got the rest of his life in front of him. Me and you, too, huh? Lots of love, Catherine

Brenda, do exactly as Nancy says. Or, try liquids for a week and stay away from bread, pasta, potatos and sugar. Step up your exercize, load up on proteins and drink lots of water!!! It works! Trust me you're not alone as alot of us fall off track. At least you are trying to do something about it before its too late! Stay strong!
