Oh my gosh! I have this same problem! I figured it was just because I spend 45 minutes in the car twice a day going back and forth to work. But mine not only hurts but actually starts falling asleep. It's so strange!

Topic: Plateau's
I am so happy to have popped in here tonight and found all these encouraging messages. Oh my gosh! I have been soooo depressed because I have been slowing down on my loss too. I had surgery Jan 13th and have lost 70 pounds now. I am finally under 200. But I am so happy to find out I'm not alone and that there are a lot of other "losers" out there that are around the same weight loss since January. Hang in there! These plateau's are ONLY TEMPORARY! 269/199/141

Topic: RE: hair loss
I have lost probably close to half of my hair but thank goodness I started with a lot! I use Nioxin shampoo now which is suppose to help. My surgeon told me it's normal about this far out. Also, I recently found out that my Vitamin B-12 level is super low so keep an eye on that too. Apparently that can have a big effect on the hair loss too?!?!?! I'm hoping that my weekly B-12 shots will help slow down the hair loss as well.

I have been using "emu oil". I found it at some swap meet and it is supposed to help with scars too. It keeps the skin moistened and it only takes a very little amount. It comes in a straight oil and then in cream form which is what I use.

Connie, My doctor talked about this. What he said really made sense. He says that a lot of wls patients have this type of pain. He suspects that it is because overweight people sit differently. They sit on different parts of their bottome because of the weight. He said that as we lose weight, we need to adjust our sitting posture. He said that when we continue to sit the same way, our butts begin to hurt. I haven't had any tail bone pain yet, but it certainly makes sense to me!

Topic: RE: Cellulitis and questions.......
Hi Jill, an area that has cellulitis is usually warm to touch, red and quite painful. It's an inflammation of the cells beneath the skin. You can get it most any area, but legs seem to get it the most. If severe enough the doctor will often do IV antibiotics to clear it up. The one they put you on....Keflex...works well for cellulitis. If it is not getting significantly better though, go back to the doctor, they may need to do the IV antibiotics. Best wishes to you.

I haven't eaten popcorn, grapes or raisins. But I eat a LOT of corn. I love it and I don't have any problems with itl

I have eaten them all too, they haven't done anything too me either, I must admit I even had some carmel corn and it didn't either (just a couple of bites though). I think its just a try it and find out thing, I had bean sprouts yesterday and I wondered about them, no problem! I guess trying things in moderation will help out the most. I drink 2 cups of milk a day and it doesn't bother me, I even went back to whole. I couldn't tolerate it for the first 3 mo. but now I don't notice the difference, but I don't drink protein shakes either and my blood work came back great, so I'm ok. I'm at -65 lbs. and lovin' every minute of it!

Topic: Cellulitis and questions.......
Good morning to all of you..... I have some questions that I was hoping I could get some answers from any of you... My right calf has been killing me for the past week and a half. I thought it was because I had sunburned at the beach, but the redness, pain, and some swelling never went away. Since I have really bad varicose veins, I decided I needed to go to the PCP to have it checked out. He says I have cellulitis. I have heard of it, but never had it before. He put me on antibiotic pills (celfex, calfax, something like that) and is re-checking me on Friday. I have two questions: 1. Have any of you ever had cellulitis? Can you tell me what it felt like? 2. My weight loss stalled at the same time I got this. Can stalled weight loss be a by-product of cellulitis? Have any of you ever experienced this? When I asked my PCP, he said maybe, maybe not...depending on the person and their body make-up. How's that for being PC!! Thanks to all of you in advance fro any info you can give me. Jill
