Hi January Losers!!!
I just wanted to crawl over and say hello to all of you beautiful losers. It is so cool to see how we have all progressed. I remember when we were all like 4-6 weeks out and the scales were all stuck at the same time. We all thought, well, I am the one it(the surgery) won't work for. Then we posted here and realized that we were all in the same boat. How great it is to have each other.
I know I have not been here much. I have been hanging out on the Texas Board. THey too are a great support. I missed you guys though!! I would really encourage any of you that may have not yet, to get involved with a local support group. If you think there is not one near you, go check out your State messege board and you may be surprised!!! Getting to see and talk to people in person just reasures you that much more that you are not alone!!!
Everyone...keep up the great work. Isn't being a losser the greatest feeling ever!!!!

I only eat like 2 to 3 ozs at a time................ I just make the right food choices........... when I get a sweet tooth I eat fruit............ Blueberries, cherries, raspberries, bannanas, apricots! I do not eat carbs really........ I just stay away from them........... You got to remind yourself where you were just a few months ago......... and not want to head back in that direction......... You can do it!

I was stuck at 202 forever it seemed!!! Then one day when I got on the scale it said 198. I did a little jig, I was so happy to be under 200. Now it seems I am stuck at 185. These plateaus do happen, and we do get past them! My next goal is a pair of jeans in the single digits. I am now a 14. I started out at size 24 or 26. Depended on the pants. Actually I used to live in leggings, because it was hard to find a pair of pants that size and short enough for me. My pants were just as wide as they were long! So I stuck to stretch pants. Now I wear jeans almost every day. What a feeling. I wear my old stretchies to bed!!! We will all get there! Yeahy for us!!!

Hello Januarys!!! I haven't written much here at all, but I know the plateau feeling. I reached my first goal about 3 weeks ago by going under 200 lbs. I am now 185, and feeling great!!! My goal weight is around 140. I am only 5'2, so I may want to go lower than that because at my support group meeting the other night my Dr. said that after 2 years we stop losing, and gain 10 to 20 lbs. back. Thats normal. I think everyone is doing GREAT! Its nice to have other Januarys to talk to...

I am having the same cravings. Especially chips. The way I do it is like this. I buy lower fat chips, or baked even the fat free Pringles once in a while just to calm my cravings! And I have a few here and there. But I hear you when you say that this is why you got there in the first place! It scares me! I will exercise a little more after a day of having something like that though. I try anyway. I have ice cream, there are these ice cream bars I think by Blue Bunny called Health Smart. They are vanilla and fudge. I have been having them right along, and I am still losing weight. I don't want to deprive myself of the things I still want, I jus****ch how much I eat (well, we have to!). And I think going from eating a huge bag of Doritos a day to eating maybe a handful every couple of weeks is fantastic! (Yes, I used to do that...) I thought I would be craving fast food like McDonalds and stuff. I would eat that stuff at least once a day too. Now I don't even want it anymore. My body is saying THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! I'm glad I'm not alone in this. I also am having craving. I just try to make wiser choices than before. Sweets still make me sick so thats not much of a problem. I went away for weekend and cheated quite abit, but now that I'm home the junk food is not around. I am afraid to get back into old habbits. Sorry if I am not making much since.

hey you are doing great hang in there i had my a day after yours and my weight loss has slowed down to i started at 269 now weigh 177 i am like 27 pounds away from my doctors goal but i wanna lose another 10 pounds alist to 140 maybe i will make my doctors goal by 6months just keep working and eat lots of protein and drink lots of water good luck
