Topic: Does any one else get this feeling?
I have lost 65 lbs gone from 220 to 155...Which is great and I am proud of it, but the problem is that at certain times when I look at myself i still see and feel like that 220lb woman. It bothers me. i have gone from a size 22 to a 12 and i guess i should be happy, but at times i still see the old me. And one last thing. I was looking at old pictures of me and never did I realize or feel i was that big, but to look at those pictures. It's the same with my mother and sister who also had the procedure. To look back at yourself knowing at that time you were self conscious, but accepting of your weight. Then you lose it and can't belive you were ever that big. like there was something wrong with me being big. I look at the old me and it makes me ill and i pray I never go back to that ever again. It's almost as if I am a hypocrite. i don't know if anyone feels the same or not. i hope I am not alone.

Barbie,
My body type sounds similar to yours. My ideal medical weight for my build is 156 at 5'8". I found that out by looking at a chart in my PCP's office. Also, if you can get your hands on a BMI chart, you could dig through it to find what your ideal BMI is for your height and then go down and it will show you the weight that corresponds with that. Actually, I just found one at: www.consumer.gov/weightloss/bmi.htm
This system doesn't take into acount frame size which obviously must be considered. The BMI chart says I should be around 139lbs, which would make me look sickly and gross. Totally not a goal for us to strive toward. My guess is that at 150 something you will look hot and feel like a million bucks.

Topic: Where should I end up?
Hey all!
Things are going great - I couldn't ask for more! I'm down 65lbs (slow by most standards - but as long as it's comin off - I don't care!) and over 40 inches! 20 off my waist alone!
My question is this - what weight should I end up with? I am 5' 7" tall, with a large bone structure. I have a lot of muscle (always have...) and larger thighs (NEVER going to go away!
So what do you all think? I would like to see 150lbs, but is that realistic? I don't really have a set number in mind - more where my body rests naturally, but curious as to what you all think.
Thanks for your help!
