Hi Connie, Hang in there, it will happen. Just think of it this way, when was the last time you were able to lose 70-75 lbs in 5 months? Something to think about, I was just talking to someone the other day who put things into perspective for me - our very own Susan Maria (bariatriceating.com) lost 76 lbs her first YEAR after surgery, the balance of her weight she lost afterward. She has been and continues to be such a great success and role model - look at it this way, you are ahead of the game - you will do it and just to throw one more cliche in -- the weight wasn't put on overnight.... Hang in there, you'll get there - we all will! ((hugs)) Carla

Topic: RE: Daggone plateau!!
Hey Harriet!! Hang in there lady. I just came off a 2.5 week plateau. I busted thru it by increasing my calories. This was at the advice of my nutritionist. I exercise 6 days a week at the health club and she said on those days I need more calories. I was only doing about 800 per day (consistently) and she said I should be doing 1000 to 1150. She also suggested that I back off the exercise to 5 days a week. She wanted me to vary my calories each day too, so I was not eating the same amount each day. She said you need to keep your body guessing to keep the weight loss fueled. I did it for three days this week and as of this morning I am down another 3lbs. So whatever calorie level you tolerate I would suggest upping it by a few hundred on the days you are physical and exercise. Its worth a try...hope it helps!! Great job on your lose so far!! Teri

Hey that is NUTHIN to be sneezed at. Keep it up. Did you do the planner on here? I have lost 61 pounds and that seems like not much to some people but I think it is great. I keep that planner printed out on my fridge - so far I have been right on track with it and when I look at December 2004..............

I understand how you feel. I have been at the same weight for almost a month and it is bugging me. I know I am still losing inches and of course I am happy that I have gone from 225 to 255, but I like to see the numbers not feel them. AHHHHHH!!!!! I am getting so frustrated with it. I have 35 more pounds to lose before I hit my "goal" And at this rate I feel like I will never get there!
