Topic: RE: Feeling a Little Blue
Hi. Wow we are like exactly on the same path. Isn't funny how several of us have weights that are so close. I am going to attribute it to we are all doing exactly what we are supposed to. I am a RN. I read Nora Roberts too! I started lifting (seriously) three weeks ago and I have lost 8 pounds since I added it to my bike riding, walking, and water aerobics. Size wise it has made a huge difference in how my clothes are fitting - muscle weighs more than fat and I am still losing so that is great! I have been averaging 1-2 pounds usually a week. 220/155/126 by Christmas

Topic: Going to Orlando
Hey all, I'm leaving for Orlando on Tuesday, June 29 and will arrive on Friday, July 2 (driving down). I'll be there until July 11 and then headed to Panama City for a few days and then back home. Would any of you who live in the area be willing to meet? Wouldn't it be so awesome to meet in person! I thought that it would be! Don't hesitate to email me. Hope all is going well for everyone! Kimberley 248/236/160.5/135 -by August I Hope! P.S. I'm not feeling so blue today! Actually I feel pretty good and not so bloated and fat! It's funny how on some days we feel fat and other days not. Although, when I look in the mirror I still see me as that 248 lb. person! I'm hoping that'll go away eventually!

Topic: RE: Thyroid Question?
My thyroid went into overdrive about 15 years ago and since they cant slow down your thyroid..they have to KILL it with radiation. They gave me mega doses of radioactive iodine and killed it. SOOO...I have NO thyroid ..and have been on thyroid meds for 15 years. My doc told me early on that I would have to take thyroid meds for the rest of my life...NO MATTER WHAT. I have had to adjust my thyroid dosage a kazillion times in the last 15 years. Since when your weight fluctuates, the amount of thyroid medication needed fluctuates as well. This is doubtless what your friends doc is saying. Surgery will NOT help her thyroid problem. I asked all sorts of questions prior to surgery including some about my thyroid and the doc was quick to assure me that having a thyroid disease was not a reason for or against the surgery. They just arent really related. While this surgery helps many health issues...thyroid is just not one of them. That doesnt mean she should rule out surgery as an option for other reasons. Hope this helps, Harriet 304/202/160

That neat that we share the same surgery date. i completly feel for you. I have been stuck at 156 forever then I dropped 4 lbs in 2 days and gained back 2. Boy did I want to cry, but then i just remeber that 5 months ago I weighed 225lbs and wore a size 20/22 pants and now i can wear 12's. Because belive me i want to hit the 150 mark soon before I go mad. Sometimes i just look in the morror and feel like I am still that 225lb girl squeezing into a 12. As long as you feel good and feel healthy it will all pass (I hope) And believe me I also love when people have to take that second glance to make sure that it's really me. Especially men. That's an awesome feeling. But hey we should be proud of what we have accomplished. It's a long road that has it's ups and downs, but eventually it will all work out in the end. Keep up the great work!!!! Stacy 225/154/120ish (soon I hope)

Wow you are doing awesome and yes the exercise is helping you tremendously. I wish I could get out and do more on a daily basis. Just remember muscle weights more than fat. So don't let the scale get you down. Best of wishes Dawn -78 (been on plateau for 6 weeks)

Topic: RE: an embarrising question. Please help
Oh yes - Toot Toot I have found that I have a lot of gas now, I do take Gax-x mostly when it is painful or makes me feel yucky. And I have found that eating sugar free stuff makes it worse. I had some S/F pops yesterday and I tooted all night. Best of luck. If you find a cure pass the word. Dawn -78
