Topic: RE: Umm... libido problems?
I had my 6-month checkup the other day with my surgeon's assistant -- all my blood tests look perfect, she said. I'm down 90 lbs, exercising, getting my protein, doing everything I SHOULD be doing. She suggested maybe it's just that my hormones are fluctuating right now. Or, it's stress-related. I think I'm going to try cutting out some stress (waiting to talk to my boss about that now, it's time to outsource some of my projects since I am overwhelmed here), and a quiet and relaxing weekend with my honey is in order. The kind where you shut off the ringers on the phones and pretend you're not home. They're calling for rain around here this weekend, so, it'll be good. But hey!!! It's good to know I'm not the ONLY ONE!!!

The only thing I can suggest is talking to your PCP to see what could be causing it, and what could be done. That's what I plan on doing when I see mine in a few weeks. At this point, I've just chalked it up to being tired, and stressed. I also plan on asking her about that new Avlimil that I have seen advertised on TV. I don't know if its something we can take or not. René S

Oh boy I can really relate to the sister thing. Growing up my sis and I were always close in weight. If one was up a little though the other was down. It has always quietly been a competition. (But she still is my best bud!) Anyway, as the years passed, I got really really big, and she stayed pretty much the same. Well guess what... I am now 2 pounds less than she is, and in a size smaller. When I first had the surgery she went on a diet. All she kept saying is that I would catch up to her soon, but that would be ok. I could tell it bothered her a little, but she is still happy for me. And I am happy for me as well! It was a great feeling to pass by her though, and I see you will be experiencing it soon too!!! Good luck! And yeahy for us!!! Desirae 272/170/130ish

I know what you mean about the belly. That is where I still have to lose the most too. It has lost a lot, but I can finally fit into my size 12 jeans in the waist-but now the legs are too big. But I wear them anyway. I think I may try those crunches too. My mom always says the tummy is the hardest to lose. Boy is she right about that! I have lost 102 lbs. One pound behind ya girl! Good for us! Keep up the good work! Desirae 272/170/130ish

Topic: My 6 mo. anniv. too! Still losing hair...
Hello! Glad to hear that things are going pretty good for all of us! I have lost 102 pounds. I am so thrilled. The only thing for me is the hair loss. It started about a month and a half ago, is starting to slow down, but still have gobs in the drain after a shower. What is up with this, and will it ever end??? I was thrilled to fit into a size 12 jeans the other day. I mean, comfortably. I had them for a while, but they were always too tight. I finally wore them to work, and received many compliments. I feel so proud of myself, and am not ashamed to say it! We should all be so proud! One lady at work told me to go look in the mirror and pat myself on the back. I read a disturbing post earlier today though. There is one person who is two years out, and has gained weight back, and can eat a lot. This scares me, anyone else? I have come so far, and am still losing like crazy, I can't imagine ever gaining the weight back. I was carrying in a box of 25 lb. litter into my house the other day, and it seemed pretty heavy. Then I thought to myself, wow, I used to have 4x this much weight added to my body. No wonder I was feeling yucky. Good luck to everyone, and keep losing!!! Desirae

Congrats Catherine Hand in there, slow aand steady wins the race. I know what you mean about the bouncing around thing, seems like I loose 5 then loose 2 then gain 3 then loose 2 then gain 3. Its almost enough to make me crazy. I am going to get my hubby to hide my scale, and only take it out once a week. I still cant stop weighing every day.... twice
