Topic: Eating too much?
I have never been a fast loser, but I have only lost 4 pounds in the last month and find myself getting frustrated. My surgeon's office says I should be eating between 600-800 calories at this stage. I've been averaging around 700 calories recently.
I'd like to compare what I eat to others if you guys are willing. Some days I eat more than others but I will list yesterday which was a high calorie day for me.
B- 1/2 cup grits, 1 egg, 1 slice cheese, 2 slices bacon
L- 3 oz pork chop, 1 cup salad, FF Italian dressing
D- 3.5 oz steak, 1/2 cup string beans
S- 2 SF Popcicles
80 oz water
20 minutes cross country machine
25 mintures treadmill

Congratulations! Sounds like your wls journey is going well. Those six 6's don't stand a chance against your determination. You will be in them soon.
Keep up the hard work.
Topic: RE: Stuck
Someone on another board had been on a plateau for several months. She started the Stillman diet and has been losing a pound a day for over a week now. She was telling another person on a three week plateau about her succes and that lady has lost 3 pounds in 3 days on it.
Having said that, the Stillman diet is even more restrictive than Dr. Atkins. Basically the only things you can eat are meat, eggs, sf Jello from what I read. It says not to cook in oil, eat mayonaise, etc. Obviously this is a diet you could do for a week or two but not long term. It might help you to break the plateau though, seems to have worked for both of these ladies.
If you are interested go to the "Over50" board and read the post for yesterday. It gives a link to the Stillman diet, but I am sure you can get the same information by typing "Stillman Diet" in the search engine.
Best of luck to you

Topic: RE: hows everyone doing at 6 months out!
Hi everyone,
I am at 60% of my weight loss as of July 20th. I am down to 152 and have about 35 more pounds to go. It is getting really difficult. I have had to increase my protein and added weights to my walking regimine. It seems to be helping but if I lose 5 pounds in a month I count myself as doing good. All the bloodwork came back good. I take a women's mega vitamin and a calcium supplement (higher than tums) from the GNC store. I haven't had much hair loss since taking these. Even though everyone tells me how great I look I still "feel" fat. All this flab doesn't help. I can't wait till that dissappears. I still face depression nearly every day. Overall though I'm doing good. I started at a size 22 and am now in a 12/14. I even bought a size 8 swimsuit that fits good. It doesn't have to fit my theighs! LOL. I must learn patience. I want it all - - -Yesterday!
Congratulations to everyone on the "losing" side. I still can't quite believe it's me when I see myself in a mirror.

What a glorious day here in sunny
Canton, NY! Stepped on the scales this morning for my weekly weigh in and it read 149 lbs. Wow, can you believe that's what I weigh? That's what I said to myself. I started out at 248 lbs. 99 lbs gone forever and ever!!! I just can't believe it! I am sooo happy and excited
I had to share this with all of you. I had started out with a goal of 125 lbs. then changed it to 135 lbs., now I want to get to at least 130 lbs., only 19 more pounds to get there!!!! Almost there!!!
It's party
time!!! I was going to wait until I had lost a 100 lbs., but hell, 99 is close enough! I went the local second had clothes store earlier and spent $42 on myself!
Got a slinkly little blue dress, sweater, sexy red blouse, and two robes. My size 10 pants I have on now are big! I'm now in a size 8. Watch out 6's here I come.
Hope everyone is doing good and wishing
you the best on your WLS
journey.
