Oh Betty .... 90 lbs is fantastic! I can't wait until I hit 90 lbs. Also, don't forget, muscle weighs more than fat, so if you are working out you may have far more muscle than fat. Also note, that scales have to be constantly calebrated. Most people, once they buy a scale, never have it calebrated. Doctors scales tend to be calebrated more frequently. However, back to the main thrust of the issue .... 90 LBS IS FANTASTIC IN 6-7 MONTHS!!!!!! Lida http://www.candlelightdreams.com http://www.pbase.com/coffenut

Barbie, I am so happy for you....I am right there with you I just got on the scale this morning and I am below 200 also. That was a very large goal for me to meet. I love being able to say I am out of the 200's now I can proudly say I am in the 100's. Cindy

You probably haven't hit a plateau but rather just slowed down. Someone on another board who was 15 pounds from goal hit a 4 month plateau she could not break with diet, exercise, water, etc. She heard about the Stillman diet and went on it. She was losing almost a pound a day. I think she lost 9 lbs in 10 days. After reading about her success I went on it and lost 10 lbs in 7 days. It is a VERY restrictive diet, basically only eating meat & boiled eggs. If you are interested go to the search engine and type "Stillman diet". It is designed as a plateau breaker and you only stay on it 7-10 days.

Hi Kimberley. I am only down 70 lbs. I have been sitting at 170 (started at 240) for almost three weeks. I can't wait to see 160. I am happy about the 70, don't get me wrong, I just am impatient. You are doing great. In my personal opinion your goal weight is what you are comfortable at and what you feel good at. If you get down to 125 and feel good, I don't think that is wrong. I want to be 120. I am 5' 1". My hubby is afraid I will look anorexic (spelling). I told him when I get there if we (meaning me) aren't happy, I will try to gain a little. That is just my .02. I weighed in this am @ 146 lbs. Only down one pound since last week. I know, I know it's better than gaining or not loosing! 102 lbs. gone forever and ever! I want to get to 125 and I know the last 21 lbs. will take forever, right? I'll be 7 months post-op on the 21st of this month. As of yet, I have not hit a plateau, maybe this is it? Do you think 125 lbs. is unrealistic? I'm 5' 3" and am small to medium frame. I'm open to comments, thoughts, and ideas! At my last visit with my surgeon he said 135 would be good. Best of luck to all of you on your WLS journey. Kimberley 248/236/146/125 Some day I hope.
