Hi Cindy! Congrats on your way to your goal! Isn't it great? I'm not the close to my goal yet - but getting there! In the beginning I was so goal oriented - now I am just thankful for what I have accomplished and so happy to be fitting into smaller sizes! I'm sure that as I get closer to my goal - I will be counting each and every pound! Congrats again & you show them girl! Barbie 281/198/170ish

Have not lost any of my hair, however, I got it cut real short in or around April. I'm a slow loser and that may have something to do with it. I also have a lot of protein during the day. Kimberley 248/236/146/120 Some day I hope!

Topic: RE: Don't ya love it when people you haven't seen for a while don't recognize you?
My own doctor -- my primary care doc, not my GB surgeon -- didn't recognize me when I went in to see him last week. I had to sit and stifle giggles the entire time because I could see he didn't know WHO I was, and finally when he figured it out, he looked at my chart, then looked at me, then looked at my chart and started flipping through it with his eyes bugged out. "How much weight have you lost?!" he asked, totally shocked. Go figure... I wanted to be weighed going in, but they didn't weigh me! So all I could do was shrug! But, yeppers, it's a pretty sweet feeling. Cheers, Kathie

Yep!!! I used (and am still using!) the Nioxon products for a couple weeks and new growth started pretty quickly after. I also, however, made DARN sure I got all the protein I could. I guess you could call it somewhat of a religious experience -- I got religious about my protein. Good luck! Kathie

I had my surgery March 31, 2004 , I was just checking out the March Board and there is a lot of talk about the hair loss problem. I was just wondering if you Jan. people have started growing your hair back yet ??? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks, Judy

I am seven months post-op and still can't eat bread, so sandwiches are out for me! I don't miss them though. I had surgery on 1/21/24 and was instructed to eat no pasta, crackers, and potatoes for at least a year! I've had no pasta, but have had crackers when I feel neausa and I have had a couple of bites of mashed potatoes. I always eat my portien first and eat a lot of chicken, red meat, and turkey, ham, and pork chops. I can't eat cube steak or hamburg! I too on some days eat more than others. I walk at least 3 miles four days a week. And I've started walking to work (it's only about 7/10 of a mile one way). I'm losing slower now only a pound last week! Oh well! I'm down a total of 102! Keep up the good work eveyone and best of luck on your continued WLS journey! Kimberley 248/236/146/120 Some day I hope.

Thanks to all of you for your support! I was 7 months post-op on Saturday (8/21/04) and tomorrow is my weigh in! I'm hoping to lose at least 1-2 pounds! I go see my surgeon next Wednesday (9/1/04). I know he'll be pleased with my results, but I'm still considered overweight and not normal weight. I feel great and I must say I look pretty dam good too, especially in my size 8 and 6 jeans. Yes, I said size 6. I'm now buying size 8's & 6's. I just can't believe it, size 8's & 6's and I was in 22/24! It's a great feeling! Wishing everyone a wonderful and successful WLS journey! Kimberley 248/236/145/120 Some day I hope!

I can complety agree with you on the slowing down....I lose 9 lbs in one week then stop ...gain a pound lose a pound, but then again I am a slave to the scale. My goal i set is 120 because I too am only 5'3" my NP thinks that I should shoot for 130...But I am still trying....Only 20 lbs to go and it can be so discouraging. But at least according to my new and improved BMI I am considered normal and not morbidly obese. We shall see keep up the good work. Stacy 220/140/120ish
