I am 37 married with twin boys age 4. I am down about 163 pounds. I started wearing a 5x shirt, now wear a 2x. I was wearing a 60 pants, down to a 42. Goal is to lose about another 50 pounds. Life is good, I was on about 8 different meds prior to surgery. I am currently on nothing. I have recently been asked at my doctor's office if I was a runner because my bp was lower then average. Prior to surgery, I was in the hospital with high bp. like I said life is good.

Topic: Weekly Weigh In
Yes, today was my weekly weigh in and I'm down 1.5 more pounds. This puts me @ 144.5! It's really starting to come off slow!! And it's driving me crazy! 2.5 lbs. in two weeks! Don't get me wrong 144.5 is sooo much better than 248 lbs. 19.5 more pounds to get to my goal weight of 125. I'll get there (I hope) eventually. Best of luck to all of you on your WLS journey. Judy, I lost tons of hair, but it has almost completely stopped now. I have alot of new hair growth coming in. I use Comeback shampoo that is made by John Amico. It is made especially for people that have had medical procedures done and lost hair from it. I buy it at my beauty salon. I also massage my scalp daily. It is the best thing to do. Just massage it until your fingertips get warm. That is what my hairdresser suggested and it really seems to be working. Good luck! Mellisia 342/225/170 Lap RNY

Hi, my name is Mellisia and I am 31 years old. I am married with 3 children (Girl 7, Boy 3 and Girl 1). I have lost a total of 117 pounds so far. I would like to lose another 55 pounds. I started in a size 30/32 and I am now wearing loose 20's. I have never measured my inches, but I regret it now. It seems that when I'm not losing pounds my clothes are still getting loose on me, so I know I'm losing inches. My life is so much better since surgery! We went on a family vacation last week and I outwalked everyone in my family for the first time. It felt great! I am so thankful that I was able to do this for myself! Mellisia 342/225/170 Lap RNY

Hi, I'm Carla. I'm married, 41 and live in Maryland. I have lost 130 pounds so far and am down over 100 inches. I started in a 32 and now wear size 18. I can walk without severe pain in my knees and my back doesn't ache like it did. Everyday is better and better and I find I have so much more confidence in myself. This is one of the best decisions I have made for myself - ever! God bless you where ever you are in your journey! ((hugs)) Carla

My name is Lida. I am 40 years old, live in Maryland with my golden retriever, Mazlon, and my two Siamese cats Leprechaun and Dusty. I started out at 331 lbs and have lost 86 lbs so far. I figure that I have about another 80 to go ... but it's a start. I started at a size 34 and can now wear a size 20 The biggest benefit is that I can now walk with a minimal amount of pain (the knee still needs to be replaced) vs the 5 minutes of walking I was able to do prior to the surgery.
