Hey Barbie- I am 36 years old, married w/ a 4 year old daughter. I live in Tampa Florida. I sell Commercial Metals. I have lost 65 lbs no clue on the inches. I was wearing 18/20 and now can fit in most 12's. I just joined Curves to help boost my metabolism into another gear so that I can get to my goal of being under 140 lbs. Great thread.... You are not alone, here is a big hug and a good "it will get better" squeeze...I myself have been at a slow down for about a month, but I am still seeing a big difference in the way things fit, the sizes I wear, and so forth...your body is trying to let the rest of you catch up with the decrease in your weight...think happy thoughts...shop from the back of your closet, a friends closet, get a feel for the different things that you can wear now, that you couldn't a few months ago...remember, they said that it could take up to two years for the complete weight loss, we all just kinda get spoilded when we see the scale go down so rapidly at first...Smile, you will get through this...you have so much more to look forward to. I have been at 180 for almost a mnth now and I am AGGRIVATED WORRIED SCARED DEPRESSED I was wondering since we all had surgery around the same time, am I alone here or is anyone else doing this!!!!!!!!! All I can think of is that I know my MD said it would start to slow down but I tell you I hope my body is not adjusting to this and wants to stand still forever. I would like to be a normal healthy weight for my height 130-150 I was pushing for 130 but at this rate I cant see 150!@!!!!! HELP AM I ALONE?

I did have haor loss for a couple mnths and it has stopped, It was not as bad as I THOUGHT but it was getting very thin etc and I was worried but it has stopped, I hope that is not an indicator of my weight loss too!!!!!!

Hi Barbie, you look great by the way! My name is Catherine, I live in Sumpter Oregon that is a tiny little old mining town up in the mountains of Eastern Oregon. I have deer in my front yard almost all of spring, summer and fall. And I am surrounded by pine trees and mountain peaks. I was hurt on the job in 1997, and I have been disabled every since. But I try to keep active, and contribute to my community as much as possible. I made a cookbook for our Fire Dept. to raise money for new equipment, that was fun, and it still keeps on selling after 2 yrs.! I have been married for over 20 yrs. and I have a beautiful 24 yr. old daughter who lives 5 hrs. away. I had surgery on Jan.22 and it was the best thing I have ever done for myself. My BP was 200/110, I had sleep apnea, my face was constantly red (as you can see by my before picture) I'm waiting for them to post my after pic. I have lost 75 lbs. and over a yard in inches, I was stuck on a plateau for 6 weeks, but now am starting to loose again. I love not being out of breath all of the time, I love watching peoples faces who haven't seen me in awhile. I grew up 30 miles from here and go to town once a week. I like shopping a my local thrift store, there are several ladies who have had this surgery before me and they have donated their clothes. My BP is normal, my face isn't red anymore, I look and feel younger. And slowly my self confidence is returning something I haven't had in along time. I can now look in the mirror and not detest what I see. I can get the attention of people who used to ignore me. I love life more and laugh more, and I find myself smiling more!
