I'm sending you a big bear hug! Keep your chin up and a smile
on your face! The weight will continue to come off, just slower, trust me I know! I have only lost 6.5 lbs this month! And I'm frustrated as heck. I am however one of the fortunate ones, as I've lost something every week, maybe only a pound, but I have lost.
I only have 19.5 more pounds to get to my goal and I know that it'll take forever! We just have to keep reminding ourselves of how much healthier and happier
we are because of the pounds that have melted away thus far.
I try to think of all my new clothes that are size 8's and some 6's and that puts a smile on my face!

Congratulations to you if you are indeed pregnant.
It was stated at one of my support group meetings that you should wait at least a year to 18 months before becoming pregnant. But, I suppose each doctor is different.

Hi Pat,
Here was my food for today:
24 oz 2% latte from Starbucks
bag of small peanut butter crackers
6 oz mixed fruit
philly cheese steak with mushrooms and provolone cheese with au jus minus the bun
half of baked potatoe with cheese, bacon bits (real) and mushrooms
8 oz glass of milk
24 oz water
That's probably not enough protein - but I'm working on it...

Ditto for me Kelli!
I try (yeah right!) not to weigh all the time. It will be easier not to now that I travel all the time. I also require that I stay in efficiency type hotels or extended stay hotels so that I don't get back into the habit of eating out and at fast food places.
I'm sending you (and everyone else in this spot) big hugs, special friend handshakes, and head nods of knowing and understanding.

You are doing great! I am sending you a great big hug to help you through the slow spots. I know exactly what you mean! I toggled between 204 and 198 for about 3 weeks. Imagine my surprise when I had to buy smaller clothes even without changing weight! Have fun and don't worry about the numbers.

Hi Pat! I'm not counting calories either, but I do watch my carbs and eat a lot of protein and I eat my protein first. Because I'm not a breakfast person (never have been) I have a low carb slim fast shake (it has 20 grams of protein), for lunch it varies. Today I am having 1/2 cup low fat plain yogart w/raisins & one packet of equal and 3 thin pieces of (about 1-1/2" in diameter) summer sausage and for dinner I'll probably have a scrambled egg with cheese & a 2-3 ozs. of a bean dish I make. For my evening snack I'll either have a protein shake or a glass of skim milk. My afternoon snack will probably be nuts or a low carb slim fast bar.
I don't throw up,
(Thank God)
but if I eat too fast I get nauseaued and just feel crapy! A lot of times after I eat I do get a pain in my left side. I have an appointment with my surgeon next Wednesday and will ask him about it.

Topic: daily food??
HI,
Just wondering what and how much everyone is eating at this stage? I am not counting calories or carbs but try to watch what I eat. Still throw up about once a wk. Think I eat too fast or don't chew enough. I had surgery on 1/29/04 and have lost 93 lbs. I am happy with my progess but my doctor feels I should have lost more. Of course he wants me to get down to 142lbs and that is not my goal. We will see. Thanks for taking the time to answer. Pat
