I too have not been on this sight for about a year. I lost 92 pounds and haven't lost since. That was Dec of 04. I joined curves and lost inches but stalled there too and when my year was up I didnt go back. I allow myself 1 diet coke a day. I eat salads and sandwiches. I still have times when what I eat sticks in my pouch and doesnt stay down and I dont know why. I now have a fear of gaining back my weight. I feel fat and I came back to this websight for some moral support. I know everyone is different but I feel stupid telling people I had gastric bypass and look like I do. Anyone have advice?

I still come on the site most every week and see what is going on. I do not see anyone here posting anymore. I was 285lbs before surgery. I am now 160lbs. I am 20lbs under doctors goal. I do alot of walking! I eat what I want pretty much. I do drink alot of water and crystal light. I do not drink sodas. I have a cuppicuno every morning. I try and eat healthy and i start to lose wieght again. I have to eat carbs to keep my wieght on. I can lose still 5lbs in a few days. I always push the plate away when I feel full. I do not try to take that extra bite.

Hey Michelle, I haven't been on this website for almost a year. I can't even get to my profile. I had the feeling that "life goes on". I weighed 279 at time of surgery. I now weigh 129. I stopped losing the first time at approximately 160 and plateaued for a good 6 months. In March 2005, I slipped and fell on ice at work, fractured my shoulder. This required two surgeries. The pain meds caused a bleeding ulcer in Dec. of 2005, which caused me to drop down to 117. This was really scarey for me as I was comfortable in size 12-14. Now it's size 4-6. I returned to work this past Feb. and have gotten back my appetite!! I also quit smoking Feb. 4, 2006, so this has added to my increased appetite. I'm really craving carbs and I don't want to get back into my old habits. I'm in need of support, and it's hard to share these feelings with non-bariatric dieters. I came back to the website as I've been wondering if other Schuhknecht patients are putting back on weight. You excercise, that is wonderful. I'm just now entertaining the idea of getting back into water aerobics or at least walking. My physical therapy ends April 6th and the shoulder pain is almost tolerable at this point. I need to get comfortable with this new weight. I had been real isolative during the shoulder recoup and the gastric ulcer healing, so I need some help with my body image. I just ordered the book, "The Taming of The Chew" as I'm very aware right now of my compulsion to overeat. I'm trying to increase my protein ct. and decrease my carb intake while being gentle with myself as not smoking is my priority this year. It would be nice to have a support buddy with the same surgery date, so let me know if you'd like to share daily or weekly living! Terry

Topic: Where is everyone?
I was obsessed with this website at first... so much so that I had to MAKE myself get off and work, participate in life etc. Now Im coming back online and we don't have much activity here. Is everyone going back to life as normal? NO problems? Here's my story: I've lost 115 lbs and Im stuck, I would like to lose 20 more pounds but i look and feel great, I just have a number in my head that I would like to get to. I wear a size 10 or `12 in pants depending on the make. I exercise 4-5 times a week when I can. I always follow the water rule, usually take my vitamins and try not to snack. I don't eat sugar or sodas(never) or breads 99% of the time. Whats your story?

Do they test b-1 in labs? and was yours high or low? or did the doctor just tell you to take them and the tingling went away? Thank you for the response Albert

Alberto, I just wanted to let you know I was having the same problem with the tingling fingers and toes. I went to see my surgeon and he told me to take a B-1 (Thiamine) daily and it has helped drastically. I no longer have the feeling in my fingers or toes. Give it a try. Mellisia

Went to the doctors on Friday... My labs were great he said the tingling could have been from deficiency of b-12 but it was fine... so he said it could be too much caffine. I drink to many espressos , He told me if it don't get better go see my pcp, because it don't seem to be related to my wls Alberto
