strange situation???
Hi. I recently had an EGD which indicated my "pouch has atrophied to approximately 50-60cc and is 6cm long." Ok. 50-60cc is a little over a 1/4 cup. What's the deal? I've been having a very hard time of eating the amount of food we are told we "should" be eating and getting the required amount of protein on a daily basis. Now that we are 2 years out, does anyone know or remember how large our pouches are actually supposed to be?
I had the EGD to rule out an ulcer which it did.
Thanks for any information you can provide!!!!!!
Pouches are all different depending on how your doc made yours. My doc makes them a little different than others do, they are more elongated. Just keep working with what you have. As for your protein intakes get back to the shakes. I am 2 years as well and don't eat as much as others at out stage. I also still do 2-3 shakes a day, if I didn't I would be protein deficient.
Take care, I don't think you are so strange.
