Panneculectomy

Had surgery on Dec 16th. The surgery went well. Can't wait to go back to work, getting bored sitting at home! My incisions are from hip to hip, then up to my breast bone. They pulled everything up and in toward the middle. I have been doing pretty good not alot of pain. Just been sore the last few days. I hope that everyone has a Happy New Year!

Congrats on you surgery! Care to share how much more weight you lost with this procedure? Did it go as well as your WLS? Is this all you are planning to have tightened? V.

Hi Nancy - I had my RNY Jan 2004 and my panneculectomy on Jan 14th so we are on the same time table! Even our incisions sound the same! I am having a little bit of trouble with one of the spots where the drain came out though. It has to be packed every day; first by home health care nurses and now by family. I went back to work the first day on the 13th. I was tired at the end of the day but it went okay for the most part. My job is mostly sitting at my desk and my co-workers tried to make sure I stayed there! Good luck and heal well!
