Out of Control
Brenda, do exactly as Nancy says. Or, try liquids for a week and stay away from bread, pasta, potatos and sugar. Step up your exercize, load up on proteins and drink lots of water!!! It works! Trust me you're not alone as alot of us fall off track. At least you are trying to do something about it before its too late! Stay strong!

Brenda just as everyone else says, get back to the basics. Keep a journal to help you see what you are eating. Write down the food, how much and calories. Measure everything. Get away from the carbs and back to 70% protein in your diet. Also if you have added back alcohol get rid of it. Alcohol is empty calories and diet soda actually makes you hungry. Drink your water. Do you support group, if not start it will halp keep you on track. And last exercise daily. Also weight yourself so you can keep tabs on yourself.
Good luck,
Robin

Brenda I don't want to be descouraging but I feel awful.....I feel out of control and when I eat I CAN EAT......I feel like this is a scam and at the end we all be back to where we started, I feel so angry what's the point of the surgery if the new stomach can be stretch so easyly????????? I understand THIS IS ONLY A TOOL but I was expecting "the tool" to work fine for the rest of my life.......

Celines,
Sorry you are so discouraged. I don't know that the pouch stretches so easily. I think what happens is that people lose so quick they don't learn the tools for life in the first place. Go back to basics as has been said. If you are drinking alcohol stop, it is just empty calories. Do you attend group still? If not go back. We begin to think we are invincible but it is work to keep the weight off wheather or not you are thin or fat. We didn't get to our pre surgery weight without issues. See a counselor if you need to and deal with why you eat....Good Luck to you....let your pouch work for you by working with it.
