Well I went for my 1 yr check up and I have a hernia!!!!!!!!!

I guess according to my surgeon this is a blessing because I can get a new stomack but please tell me why they pay for it when you have a hernia but not if you did not have one? I am confused? Has anyone here had a hernia and tt?
