I had surgery on 1/21/04 and have gone from 248 lbs. to 127 lbs. A total loss of 121 lbs. I have 7 more pounds to get to my goal, but would be happy to get to 124 (which will be half my weight). I have passed my surgeons goal; which was 135 lbs. I went from a size 22/24 to 4/6. But, I have a lot of baggie skin in the admonial area, thighs, and upper arms. I excerise 3 - 4 days a week. And have started training for a 1/2 marathon (walking not running). I don't know what to do about the baggie skin, other than having surgery and I don't think my insurance will cover it. My breast went from 44DD to 36B and they sag terrible! This is driving me crazy! Do any of you have any suggestions or ideas? Wishing everyone a warm, safe, and joyous Holiday Season! Best of luck to all on your continued WLS journey. Kimberley 248/236/190/124/120 Some day maybe!

If the skin does not rebound on its own, I think all you can do is plastic surgery. That is why you see so many people talking about it on the boards-it is super common to need it. Lots of times it is covered my insurance too. Heather post lap rny jan 27,2004 5'8" 253/145/140

Hi Kimberley- There is nothing you can do but have the skin removed. I just got done w/full panniculectumy and breast lift/aug. They removed 8 1/2 lbs of skin from my tummy area. My insurance covered the tummy, I did get rashes and had pictures to prove it. You need to check your insurance policy and see if reconstructive surgery due to illness is covered. Best of luck.
