I was just informed by my Dr.'s office that he is closing his door. Since this is the dr that did my surgery, that means that i will have no follow up appointments. Should i worry or just carry on? It is not like i really had any follow up care anyways. I have only seen him 2 times since my surgery. once the week after and once at 8 months.

I would not worry................... Just keep doing what he told you to do!

I wouldnt worry about it either. I don't bother going to my surgeon anymore, I talked to my PCP and she has agreed to order the blood tests that I need done. If i were having problems with anything, thats when I would continue the appointments with the surgeon.

I would not worry but just make sure you PCP is very aware of what you have done and ask if he will do the blood work every few months to make sure there is nothing negative going on. I have seen my doctor several times since the surgery and have had bloodwork done 2 times since surgery to make sure I am not missing vitamins and minerals. Just keep in mind it is very easy to be become animic (not sure of spelling) after GBS. I wish you the best of luck. Cindy
