Goal?
How far away from goal are you? How did you determine what your goal is? and how much did you have to lose? and how much have you lost?
I am 18 lbs from goal. I just thought 150 sounded good. If you go by ideal body weight, I needed to lose 107 but my goal was to lose 95 lbs. I have lost 77 lbs.

ps. I also lost diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesteral and high triglycerides!!!!!
Originally my surgeon set a goal of 170 for me, then lowered my goal to 160 in April because i was doing so well. He was sure I would reach the 160 goal by July...WRONG! I started out at 304.. am now 174, so I have lost 130 pounds all told. I hit the 174 mark in mid-September, but gained back a bit of the weight and hit 174 again a few weeks ago. At this point I am hoping for hitting goal by January 12...my 1-year anniversary.
However, whenever I reach my goal, or if ever...I know that I am thankful that i have gotten to where i am right now!! Life is good again and health is the most important gift we can give ourselves. At this point any further weight loss is just gravy. I feel great and thats what matters most.
Good luck to all of you!!!
Hugs,
Harriet
304/174/160ish....
My goal was to wear a size 8 and I actually thought I would have to weigh 125 lbs. Well, @ 140 lbs. I was wearing a size 8. So, I set my goal to 124 lbs. I now weigh 131 lbs. (I'm 5' 2 1/2") and am wearing size 6's and 4's and still some 8's. Only 7 more pounds to go! I'm sure that 7 pounds will take for ever. I set 124 as that's half of the weight I stared at, which was 248 lbs. My surgeons goal was a healthy weight and @ 142 lbs. he told me I was at a healthy weight. I'm happy and if I don't loose another # I'll be ok! I also got rid of high cholestoral, high triglycerides, and diabetes!
Everybody keeps telling me I'm too "skinny" and that I don't need to lose anymore. I really get tired of hearing that. I don't consider myself skinny, but thinner and healthier! Funny, isn't it, these people wouldn't tell me I was fat or obese when I was, but they're not afraid to tell me I'm too skinny!
Keep up the good work everyone and best of luck on your continued WLS journey.
Kimberley
