This surgery was my turnaround in life and the phrase fits exactly how I feel for all the people who thought I wouldn't get this far.!!

Connie, What a great mantra sweetie! Can I adopt it also? My main mantra has always, and will always be "Everything happens for a reason". I sincerely believe that there are no coincidences and that God gives us control over the choices that we make. However ~ when you choose "the road less traveled" so to speak, we miss out on the blessings that could have been. You however, seem to have missed out on nothing and set out to make YOUR life better - in spite of what others thought or belived.
